Education
From preschool to higher education, the Owatonna area offers the very finest in education. The Owatonna Public Schools are committed to maximizing students learning potential. With five elementary school locations, a junior high and high school to serve the community with an enrollment of approximately 5,400 students.
Owatonna also is home to four parochial schools:
- St. Mary’s Elementary School is a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade private Catholic school.
- Owatonna Christian School is kindergarten through 12th grade and is sponsored by Grace Baptist Church.
- El Shaddai Private School is a private school sponsored by the Christian Family Church.

- Recovery School of Southern Minnesota
As well as school for our children, Owatonna offers higher education and community education for adults:
